Yves Saint Laurent S/S 09/10 RTW

Yves Saint Laurent S/S 09/10 Ready-to-wear show breakdown

I feel compelled to begin by personally thanking Stefano Pilati, YSL's new creative director for a collection that I will never forget. My god, where do I begin?

While still incorporating the fashion houses trademark's including the pantsuit and décolletage, Pilati was able to add a fresh vibe to this ultra-chic collection. Capes, sheer fabrics, belted waists, puffy sleeves, a-line symmetry, short hemlines and high necklines dominated this collection that produced an overwhelming sense of nostalgia.

Pilati undoubtedly nailed this season's minimal chic trend by incorporating each and every factor of the modern YSL woman.

Félicitations!
